A Band of Buriers is an English alternative folk band that blends both folk and alternative rap elements together. Their unique acoustic sound encompasses dreamy melodies and intense string reverberations with abstract and imaginative poetry woven throughout. This intriguing combination of styles was developed by James P Honey and Jamie Romain who are oftentimes accompanied by Matthew Romain (violin), James Reindeer (field recordings), Mesparrow (vocals) and Nadia D’ Alò (vocals). James P Honey is an accomplished alt rapper, singer and poet who has been likened to Leonard Cohen. He co-founded the Decorative Stamp music label and collective and is a prominent force in the international alternative rap scene, touring tirelessly for over half a decade throughout America, Canada and Europe and releasing more than five albums to date. Jamie Romain is a classically trained cellist who has performed with and collaborated on music projects across varied genres throughout his career. The pair’s first project together, Sold Out Cyclone, was an experimental anti folk, ten track album, titled Dreamers are Insomniacs and released in 2010 by Decorative Stamp. Most recently, the two collaborated on Murmur Breeze, a hip hop project by James P Honey and producer AbSUrd. Record label: Decorative Stamp
