Accu was formed in 1998 from the aftermath of Heads and Bodies by cousins Lacce and Harpov. The arrival of a new member, Jere Garcia has brought in even more sweat and expression and today the group of three is riding on a high tide. Accu has produced its own superior sound that is simultaneoulsy fresh and familiar. Ther first CD release "Accu" in 2002 received a very warm welcome; DJ magazine hailed the album as "Beach Boys meeting Happy Mondays for serious loungecore" and Music & Media pictured Accu as "Abba laced with Yello" "Lasso" is the second album release from Accu, it has been accompanied with the highly praised and favoured singles "In The City" and "Out of the Blue" (feat. Laura Närhi). With its new album Accu has brought disco music into the new millenium. The opening track "Night Freak" is fired up with sexy nightclub vibrations. "Rolling" has the power of disco-steam engine rolling... "Cooper King" and "Coupé" are perfect examples of futuro-disco. Cheka Kalupan takes us in a deep trip-hop journey with "Who is Who". "Troubles" is a piece of pure feeling when finally "Puff Why U Diddy?" and "Back In The Days" bring us back to our roots. Accu is also known to be a pioneer in combining sound, live energy and moving picture. It has created an interesting new style of audio-visual-extravaganza that is easy to interact with. Its number of live musicians and gogo-dancers are known to grow to "funkadelic measures" depending on the needs of the show. The band has been favoured act in numerous festivals and events.
