Cambridge based four piece indie rockpop band Alpha Road consist of Tim Bond (lead guitar), Tom Phelan (rhythm guitar/lead vocals), George Collins (bass guitar/ backing vocals) and Michael Boyle (drums). We formed in early 2004 Boyles and Phelan starting messing about with instruments etc. George joined soon after and the band went through the "Playing punk rock covers" stage. This phase passed and some original material emerged from the minds and fingers of Boyles and Phelan. George made the odd contribution, but mainly played bass and sang (badly at the time :-D). Yeh, you can guess who wrote this bio! We went searching for a lead guitarist, because Tom just wasn't up to the job! So he was demoted to rhythm sitar. Tim Bond swooped down from the heavens and melted into the band like a female spy into James Bond's arms. Anyway, Tim had the Alpha Road "short back and sides" image and suited very well, so he came on board. He brings solos, talent and a certain "ca fait du bruit" to the band.
