Andrew started DJing in 1999 with the growth of Traxx, the night he helped to form the previous year. What followed was a 4 year residency at the hugely successful Traxx at the Soundhaus. Developing a sound that would encompass many different styles of music, with a growing taste for all things disco. He was involved in the inception and long term organisation of Melting Pot from 2001, and became resident in 2006. In the interim there had been residencies at Second Nature, and a Melting Pot offshoot, Together. Melting Pot was Scotland’s first disco based club, that encouraged a slew of imitators. After 7 years it is still going strong, with Andrew’s enthusiasm and passion for all types of music a driving force. As well as DJing, Andrew was part of the Traxx organisation which brought some of the biggest names in underground house and disco to Glasgow. With Scottish debuts from the likes of New York Body and Soul DJs Joe Claussell and Danny Krivit, with Francois K also making a return to Glasgow. Throw in the likes of Moodymann, Theo Parrish, Stacey Pullen, David Mancuso, and gigs from Public Enemy, and you had some of the world’s best talent playing at Traxx / Melting Pot.
