Perthyn i'r hwyrddydd mae ARGRPH – y lle hwnnw rhwng nos a dydd. Mae ARGRPH yn cwmpasu blas yr heulwen a themâu telynegol y cyfnos er mwyn creu sain i gyd-fynd â'r breuddwydion a gollwyd gennym yn ein hieuenctid. Fe ddechreuon nhw dan gysgod dirgelwch ond ni allai cerddoriaeth ARGRPH aros yn gudd. Ar ôl y cynigion anochel am gigs fe roddwyd gwedd derfynol i’r band o amgylch Emyr Sion Taylor gyda felodiau syrff, sensitive.
Ymdeimlad o fod wedi'i ynysu sydd wrth wraidd y band, a'r ysbrydoliaeth yw glan môr Aberystwyth. Mae Emyr wedi edrych yn boenus o ddwfn i’w enaid i greu caneuon gonest sy'n brydferth ond hefyd yn cynhyrfu. Dan ddylanwad harddwch noeth gwaith TS Eliot mae caneuon Emyr yn dweud amryfal bethau ac yn cyfleu amrywiaeth o emosiynau drwy eiriau dethol a chlindarddach y cordiau.
Trwy amsugno sain cinematic Scorsese a Tarantino mae ARGRPH yn caru’r gorffennol gymaint ag y maent o greu dyfodol. Ym mis Hydref 2016 rhyddhawyd ‘Tywod’, sengl cyntaf ARGRPH ar label Decidedly, a derbyniodd adolygiadau brwd ac darllediadau mynych ar y radio yn enwedig y BBC. Recordiwyd ‘Tywod’ gan Llŷr Pari (cynhyrchydd/allweddellau/offernynau taro) (Cowbois Rhos Botwnnog, Palenco. Omaloma, Y Niwl) gyda Geth Davies, drumiau (Sen Segur, Lastigband) George Amor, bas (Omaloma, Sen Segur, Palenco). Dyfarnwyd hi’n un o ganeuon y flwyddyn gan David Owens, Western Mail / Walesonline. Mae ARGRPH eisoes wedi sefydlu enw da iddo’i hun fel band byw cyffrous a deinamig ac fe’i ddewiswyd fel prif gefnogwr pan lansiwyd Georgia Ruth yr albwm ‘Fossil Scale’, yn ddiweddar.

ARGRPH exist in the gloaming - the space between night and day. Through sunshine ambience with twilight lyrical themes, ARGRPH create a soundtrack to dreams we lost in youth. Starting off under a blanket of mystery, the music of ARGRPH could not remain hidden. After the inevitable gig offers came in, the band galvanised around Emyr Sion Taylor’s distinctive, surf imbued delicate melodies.
Created out of a sense of isolation and with the stirring tide of Aberystwyth beach as a canvas for inspiration, Emyr painfully dug into his own psyche and wrote bruising and honest songs that are at once beautiful yet also unsettling. Taking inspiration from the stripped bare beauty of TS Eliot’s poems, Emyr's songs say a million different things and convey a huge spectrum of emotion through a select choice of words and crashing chords.
Absorbing the cinematic sounds of Scorsese and Tarantino, ARGRPH is equally in love with the past as it is in creating a future. October 2016 saw the release of ‘Tywod’, ARGRPH’s first single for the label Decidedly, to fast critical acclaim and extensive radio plays especially on the BBC. ‘Tywod’ was recorded by Llŷr Pari (producer/keys/percussion) (Cowboys Rhos Botwnnog, Palenco, Omaloma, Y Niwl) with Geth Davies, drums (Sen Segur, Lastingband) George Amor, bass (Omaloma, Sen Segur, Palenco) and was announced as one of the songs of the year by David Owens Western Mail / Walesonline. ARGRPH have already established a reputation as a ferocious and dynamic live band and were selected as main support for Georgia Ruth’s recent ‘Fossil Scale’ album launch.
