At 22 years old, Arno Cost is a French producer whose popularity has grown the most this year. Discovered by Mathieu Bouthier of Serial Records in January 2006, he signed with his friends Norman Doray (producer of Jetlag) and Pierre de la Touche, the track "Let U Go", which enjoyed a very big success on French radio stations and with international Djs (Didier Sinclair, Antoine Clamaran, Hoxton Whores, Ben Macklin, Narcotic Trust, Muttonheads...). In 2006, he also remixed the last Geyster tune "Under The Fuse of Love", hammered by Pete Tong and 2nd of the UK Club Charts during several weeks. Several mixes with The Freshmakers were produced this same year with a remix of Serial Crew (Boss), one of Da Sushiman (Ledge Music) and one of the famous cover of Michael Jackson: Rilod (Nice Music). But Arno's success really came with the hot tune "Magenta", composed with Arias, firstly signed on Serial Records, then on Kontor, CR2 and Airplay and supported by the biggest international Djs (Pete Tong, Bob Sinclar, Tom Novy, Ian Carey, Sebastian Ingrosso just to name a few). Released in December 2006 in Germany first, Magenta was one the biggest tunes of "The Amsterdam Dance Event", and has been growing louder for these last few months. With Dave Spoon (Toolroom) and Tom Novy (Kontor) remixes, Magenta seems to be the EP of this winter 2007. Stay tuned!! Arno has always been fascinated by music. Very early, he was immersed in pop music and disco through his parents and began to produce in 1999 in his bedroom with some kind of weird softs!! To tell about his influences, it' s quite hard to sum them up but to have an idea, Arno' s music is mostly inspired by Disco, Italo Disco, the "French Touch" (Daft Punk, Benjamin Diamond, Alan Braxe, Philippe Zdar...) and artists like Stuart Price, Axwell, Lifelike, Eric Prydz, that Arno will always admire. Arno is currently working on new tunes and remixes for 2007 and is also preparing his first album, foretold for 2008. You can find him for dj sets with Norman Doray, every month at "Queen Club, Paris" with guests and consult his website for other gigs in France or abroad.
