Aruba Red is a solo artist based in the UK who performs a mixture of Reggae, Dub, Acoustic, Soul, Hip Hop, Dubstep, Tribal, Electronic & Experimental Styles. Aruba Red prides herself on being a rebellious artist speaking out against issues including consumerism, war, globalization and traditional power structures. Her self-titled eponymous album was released independently in September 2008 and was featured in the 'Best of 2008 so Far' in the iTunes chart in November of the same year. She has collaborated with Reggae Star Jah Mason on her track 'Struggling' which reached the top 10 playlist on Irie fm in Jamaica in the Summer of 2008. She also features on Nitin Sawhney's 8th album 'London Undersound' with their collaboration 'Last Train to Midnight' and has toured with artists including Natty, Fat Freddy's Drop as well as having opened for Soul II Soul at Wembley Arena. She recently collaborated with Jamaican star Jah Cure on her track 'Light Up Light Up' as well as Dub legend Mad Professor with yet to be released material.
