There are more than one project named Away With The Faeries: 1) Away With The Faeries is a document of the experimental musical endeavours of English musician Gareth I. Davies. His approach explores a wide variety of styles such as metal, ambient, alternative rock, industrial, electronica, orchestral and progressive. The last album "Glowing Burning Slowly Softly" (2007) and previous release "Don't Listen To The Static" (2005) are both available for streaming in their entirity here at last.fm, and you can now freely download both albums in full as well. At current there are no definite plans in place for another album using the AWTF name. They even got as far as Skegness once! The line-up is occasionally augmented by electric guitar and double bass, making Away With The Faeries quite literally a quartet and a half. Their music is ethereal, humorous, occasionally sardonic, and always entertaining. Live shows are full of personality, energy... and cowbells. Indeed, it has been said that Away With The Faeries are a band with both heart and humour. They have earned such a great reputation that they have already graced top venues including The Jazz Cafe and 100 Club, are a regular support for Brit legends, The Blockheads and will be joining them on their 35th Anniversary Tour, have collaborated with the psychedelic folk band Spirogyra and appeared at the Great British Folk Festival (sharing the bill with Donovan).
