With comparisons to Arcade Fire, Radiohead, The National, and Idlewild, the Backyards sound is eclectic and multifaceted. They blend shimmering violin, guitars, and keyboards over a driving, pounding rhythm section with dual lead vocalists. Backyards songs are known for their atmosphere and ability to be both dark and light, powerful and optimistic. It was released digitally on 1 February 2012 and includes 3 extra tracks from a live on-the-air BBC Introducing session on BBC Radio Leeds. Another act by the name Backyards is a solo muli-instrumentalist Marc Devidal / all instruments, with a wide array of synths, and as far as I know, one LP release so far, 2Eden, which is progressive electronic music.
