Bambii (Kirsten Azan) uses samples and breaks flowing freely between many genres such as global club, ballroom, reggaetón, jersey club, garage etc. In 2019, her debut dancehall single “NITEVISION” celebrated the importance of women in club culture featuring Jamaican dancehall artist Pamputtae. She’s currently working on her EP. For the last decade she's been hosting the diverse and now travelling event series ‘JERK’ as her platform for music exploration. She has been on stages such as Brooklyn’s AFROPUNK, and across Europe and Asia as a solo artist and on support for artists such as Mykki Blanco, Kelela, and MikeQ, and others. It was her mother who exposed her to a wide variety of styles of music as a child and called her Bambii. Growing up in multicultural Toronto, Canada took it from there.
