Championing their own breed of Alternative Pop, BATTLE OF YOU are an emerging talent causing a stir in the London Music Scene. With a striking and urgent live performance, BATTLE OF YOU have been compared to artists such as Gossip, Bowie and The Cure for their strong androgynous image and raw, instinctive sound. Alongside the provocative and the alternative, BATTLE OF YOU’s songs also scream with pop sensibilities and instantly like-able pop hooks, placing them alongside bands such as Passion Pit, MGMT and Coldplay. An explosive Summer 2012 saw them catapulted onto the airwaves of BBC Radio 6 (Tom Robinson - BBC Introducing) and Absolute Radio (Pete Donaldson - Sunday Night Music Club) and being handpicked by Emerging Icons (Universal) to perform at the London 2012 Games as one of their ‘Best Acts of 2012’. Alongside playing to the crowds of the Paralympic Games, BATTLE OF YOU also captured the attention of notable media including the BBC News who featured their performance at the Paralympics and songs ‘To The Sea’ and ‘Nobody Knows’ on the 6 O’clock news. BATTLE OF YOU spent the rest of 2012 spreading their battles to the audiences of 02 Islington Academy2, Scala and 100 Club and the dance-floors of Bad Sex(Proud), Queen of Hoxton and a sell out show at Candy Bar. 2013 finds them surfacing from 3 months in the studio with a debut EP in hand and getting ready for the release of their debut single ‘Rebecca‘. With a music video already in post production from animators Plenty (MTV, Sony) and the forthcoming release, BATTLE OF YOU have high hopes for the future and where their battles will take them next.
