There is more than one artist named Beatlemania. The most well known one is a Broadway show from the late 70's through the early 80's. The show was a concept of its producers, Steven Leber and David Krebs, of Aerosmith fame.
It was made up various lineups that performed in character and gave birth to the many Beatle tribute bands to follow in the years to come. The first bunk (lineup) was Joe Pecorino as John Lennon, Mitch Weissman as Paul McCartney, Leslie Fradkin as George Harrison and Justin McNeill as Ringo Starr. There was also a soundtrack album recorded from various performances and released on the Arista label in 1978.
