Big Al refers to 2 artists: an electronic music producer and a software product called VOCALOID.
Big Al the producer is the main man behind one of the world's leading electronic labels, the quality renowned "Ready Mix Records”, “Empty Whisky Flask Records” and launching in 2012, “Itom Records” and “Haute Musique”. He knows no compromise when it comes to perpetuating musical excellence, authenticity and ingenuity. As the founder and one half of the production duo, Beat Factory, The Suppliers, Harlem Knights and Soul Collective, BiG AL has unleashed his musical talent with originals and remixes on great labels such as GU, Baroque, Armada, Ministry of Sound, Aenaria, USB Digital, Sick Watona, Nightshade Music, Outta Limits, AlterImage, Acryl Music, Soulman Music, Nightbird Records, Grouper Recordings, Dutchie Music, Vapour Recordings, Outside The Box Music, Night Drive Music, Lens Media, Low Flow Records, Bad Pony Records, Klang Gymnastik and many more…
His tracks are played and loved by Sasha, Sander Kleinenberg, Nick Warren, Roger Sanchez, Angel Moraes, Behrouz, Desyn Masiello, Hernan Cattaneo, Dave Seaman, Omid 16B, Jaytech, 16Bit Lolitas, Eddie Amador, Kasey Taylor & Roberto Rodriguez to name but a few. He has remixed tracks for Stan Kolev, Krummstoff, Addex, Shiloh, Ricky Ryan, G-Spice, Tone Depth, Eelke Kleijn, Sebastian Davidson, Mastercris, Onur Ozman, J&M Brothers, Sendos Fuera, Art Patrice and Re-Zone among others. Thanks to his technical savvy and artistry in the studio, he was the personal programming & sound engineer for Angel Moraes (Hot N’ Spycy, NYC), and mastered promo DJ mixes for club Stereo which included Frankie Knuckles, David Morales, Hector Romero, Chus & Ceballos and a great deal more.
His studio talents are incontestable, but he is perhaps best known as a master behind the decks; an up-lifter, an inspirational educator and a creative visionary when it comes to DJing. He was selected as one of Montreal’s Top 3 Beat Masters in the “Hour Magazine”, won a JPF Award in 1999 for the best song on a mixed compilation and was nominated by the Lebanese Daily Star Magazine as the number “1” DJ/Producer in the world with Arabian/Middle-Eastern origins in 2001. But these marks of recognition are pale compared to the actual experience of being on one of his dancefloors. His current residencies include B018 Beirut, Circus Montreal, Cubes Abu Dhabi and previously 5 years at Stereo, Montreal also serving as the Talent Buyer and Artist Relations Director. He hosts the global editions of the Ready Mix Sessions events (Beirut, Miami, Montreal, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Amman) along with the internationally broadcasted radio shows and podcasts. He has played all over the world from L.A. to London, New York to Ibiza, Dubai to Miami, Beirut to Toronto and around. His vibe is diffused universally across barriers of language and cultures. His most recent appearances include the Renaissance Event in Beirut playing alongside Satoshi Tomiie, The Creamfields Festival 2009 and 2010 in Abu Dhabi with the likes of Sasha, David Guetta, Sebastien Leger, Marco Carola, Erick Morillo, Deadmau5, Underworld, Laid Back Luke, Desyn Masiello and Calvin Harris, the Circus Event in Beirut alongside Steve Lawler and The Gatecrasher event in Beirut alongside Anthony Papa and The Poliakov Events with Cosmic Gate and Nick Warren respectively. Always carrying a bag of fresh beats, BiG AL is coming soon to a dancefloor near you...
Big Al also refers to an English singing synthesizer that was developed and distributed by PowerFX Systems AB., and released in December 2009 for the VOCALOID2 engine. He was announced to be in development on January 21, 2007 and his provider during that time was Michael King. After another period of development his voice bank was redone by a male voice actor, Frank S.
