Born in Nicaragua, raised in Hialeah, Miami, Billion found his calling in hip-hop when he began listening to Wu-Tang Clan, the Beastie Boys, and Jay-Z. Inspired, Billion started recording and performing at 16 with his group South P.O.E., the Miami based rap trio consisting of Lucky Luck, and the late and forever missed Endo (R.I.P.). Later, Billion (also a talented photographer) moved to New York City, the mecca of hip-hop, and attended the prestigious Parsons School of Design. There he helped form the eclectic hip-hop group Piranhas Band. The group developed a loyal fan base performing at numerous venues throughout New York such as S.O.B.’s, The Knitting Factory and Telemundo 47’s morning news show ‘Primera Edicion.’ In 2004 Billion released his debut album, The Unwritten Chapters, on Kwality Records. Last year saw the digital release of The I-95 EP and its companion mixtape I-95 Highway Ridin’. The release featured Billion and his core clique, several independent artists from cities across the East Coast. Fully invested, he also produced many of the tracks on the mixtape. Now Billion is back again with an all new album titled SPF Dirty set to be released in summer 2009. Billion is a new kind of hip-hop artist, capable of delivering fiery-hot lyrics and dope beats. With plans to tour in 2009 Billion is set to claim his spot in music.
