Having grown up in The Bronx, Stan Rapoport aka Black Coast has been deeply rooted in New York’s music scene since he was a teenager. Apart from various stints with rock, hardcore and pop bands, Rapoport managed to make a name for himself as a producer at an impressive speed. Under the alias Black Coast, the sought-after insider produced multiple self-released singles, which have been featured on tv-series and films such as CW’s “The Originals”, Bravo’s “Vanderpump Rules”, Showtime’s “Billions”, So You Think You Can Dance, MTV's VMAs and a feature film “Wish Upon”. His most notable release “Trndsttr” feat. M. Maggie became a true smash hit on social media without any marketing budgets, only by Soundcloud shares and music blogs’ raves. The Lucian remix of “Trndsttr” has been streamed over 150 million times on various music platforms. Following the success of “Trndsttr”, Black Coast released two singles via Sony’s Ultra Music Records, with features from publications such as Billboard, Vulture, Nylon, Entertainment Weekly and BuzzFeed. Black Coast’s latest release is “Medicine”, featuring the dreamy tones of Helene Svaland, singer of Norway based outfit Ponette.
