Formed in October 2009, Black Paper Cats have wasted no time in establishing themselves as one of York's top acts. The summer of 2010 sees the release of a new EP, 'The Legend of Billy Rose', and it's clear to see that the band are moving in a defined direction - gone are the shread heavy, solo laden epics from their debut release. Rather the sound has evolved into a syncopated fusion of blues and rock, defined by hard hitting rhythms that anchor the grove while vocalist Dean Wilby bears his soul. Combined with a high octane live stage show, the future is promising for this four piece of the north of England. The band currently operates entirely off its own back, with no management or representation of any kind.
