2008 - Tyler Rambie and Riley Statler, guitarist and drummer of OLD BONES begin jamming with John Carpenter, fellow enthusiast-of-all-things-heavy. Amidst worship of Mascis, Homme and White, the trio hammers out Black Keys covers for a few months before adding bassist Mike Lalonde and forming WORKHORSE. 2009 - Several months of jamming result in a handful of originals, including 'New Blues', 'Mammoth', and 'Restless'. Following several low-profile bar gigs, newly minted BLACK RABBIT begin cobbling together a studio and recording in southeast Calgary. Shortly into the summer, the band adds vocalist Geoffrey Brown, cementing the current lineup. In the fall 'Tar and Feather' and 'Been To Jail' are featured on CKXU; many, many beers are drank. 2010 - With a dozen local shows under their belt, Black Rabbit perform at SLED ISLAND 2010 to an all-ages crowd, many of whom are now beginning to regain their hearing. Godspeed kids. 2011 - First demo ep hits soundcloud, while two MAJOR MATT MASON gigs are the showstoppers of the year. Black Rabbit brings the cops to SW Calgary in the fall, and hit the Auburn Saloon with a 14 song blast of a Christmas present. 2012 - PALE WHITE RECORDS on your mind?
