It could be said that fate had a hand in the formation of Black Wolf Run. The four band members first met up at a battle of the bands competition, playing in different bands.
After a natter over a pint, the band was formed in April 2010. Their influences are an eclectic mix of musical styles, from Janis Joplin, Pat Benatar, and Heart, through to Led Zepp, Iron Maiden, and Metallica. The result is a thumping rock sound that has something for everyone.
The band played their first official gig at the 2010 Mawbray Music Festival, where they went down a storm, and made quite a few friends.
Word is spreading and the band were invited to play several charity events, by Terry King (Valentine Rock), Colin Rumney (Mawbray Music Festival), and Annette Bailey (Metal Cumbria)
The band have just finished recording their first original track ‘Solitude’, which is to be used in a forthcoming film soundtrack..
The awesome vocal talent of Claire Price gives the band it's signature sound, backed up by guitar maestro Jonathan Sharp, and the thunderous rhythm section that is Gill Pooley on Bass, and Mike Ellis on Drums.
