The blue hour is a unique time of day that lives between daylight and darkness. Its characteristic ethereal blue glow has had a profound effect on humanity for millennia; not only for the contemplative mood it triggers, but it is even said our five senses are heightened then. Blue Hour aims to capture the magic quality of this time in their music. Songs with themes of loss and longing, anger and melancholy, but hope and excitement as well. It’s getting dark out, but there’s still some light in the sky. Coming out of Toronto, the band is closely tied to the city’s underground music community. Steven and Margaret are both former members of the now defunct “Perdition”, which was a big part of the Goth scene there. Matt still plays with “Pleasure the Priestess” and Mark was in “Bleep”. Currently Blue Hour is working on a five song ep hopefully to be released spring/summer of 2008. The band is also pulling together a setlist and plans to be playing shows in the near future.
