Bob Dean is a music act based in the United States. The group forms in Manchester, where all five members meet at a sound recording school. Its members come from the UK, Iceland and America, and each brings different musical influences, which the band says gives its music a distinct character rather than a clear single style.

Debut album

The debut album, Volcanic Music, is written, recorded and mixed by the five members together, with mastering carried out by a friend who also attends the same school. Four tracks on the album feature a quartet from the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, recorded at Gracieland Studios in Rochdale.

Live activity

Bob Dean plays widely in and around Manchester and performs at a range of notable local venues. The band also takes part in summer festivals and wins two heats in separate battle of the bands competitions. Its live performances are described as a notable part of its profile.
