Cardinal Sin

Cardinal Sin is a Swedish melodic black metal and death metal group from Gothenburg. The band forms in 1995 and ends later, and it is one of several acts to use the name Cardinal Sin.

Swedish band

This line-up forms after John Zwetsloot leaves Dissection. Cardinal Sin releases the four-track EP Spiteful Intents, which includes a classical composition by Zwetsloot. After that release the band disbands, then reforms in 2003 with a partly new line-up, but does not issue anything beyond Spiteful Intents.

Style

The band is associated with black metal, death metal, melodic black metal, and melodic death metal. Its work is described as a Swedish melodic death/black metal sound.
