18 year old CARLY CONNOR is from Easterhouse in Glasgow and was born to sing. In fact, Carly didn’t start singing at any age – Carly simply remembers that she could always sing “I just always have since I remember and no one ever told me to stop. Even if they did – I wouldn’t have!” “I get lost in a song, it’s kinda like going through the door to Narnia and time stops, you’re in this place with all these emotions and letting them all out unaware of what’s going on in the ‘real world’ around you … a song is never long enough for me”. Carly got her first guitar when she was 8 years old “it was one of those wee Argos ones that Mum and Dad got me for Christmas. I didn’t know how to play it and one of the teachers in my primary school had noticed there were a few of us that had guitars and couldn’t play, but it was Sister Isabel who played guitar at Sunday mass and taught us a few chords and hymns and our fun song was ‘Leaving on a Jet Plane’.”
