There are at least two artists sharing the name Chapter 24; 1. Greek: Co-established in 1982 by Antonis Livieratos and Vagelis Boulouchtsis at Ioannina, Greece, the nowadays highly respected yet still unclassifiable "Chapter 24", (aka Κεφάλαιο 24 in Greek), were named after Syd Barrett’s song. Their first album (following a short series of independent home-produced cassettes), "Tin Invaders" was released back in 1988 and features lyrics in english and despite the avant-garde reputation of the band, is definitely pop-oriented. In 1989 the original duo grows into a quartet with the addition of guitarist Periklis Boulouchtsis and drummer Yannis Mitsis and moves from Ioannina to Athens. This line-up is featured in the instrumental album "Το Ευρετήριο Των Συμπτώσεων" ("Index of Coincidences") recorded between 1989 and 1991 and released in 1995. From 1992 the band keeps going under the same, stable trio (Antonis Livieratos, Vagelis Boulouchtsis, Periklis Boulouchtsis). After some years of rare appearances they are now fully active again and have released 2 albums: Drop-In/ Drop-Out (2007) and the recently released "The Red Giant Meets The White Dwarf" with the collaboration of Philippe Petit. Besides Chapter 24, Vagelis and Periklis Boulouchtsis are also recording as Όμμα while Antonis Livieratos after three solo albums and various collaborations with several bands (Sigmatropic, Illegal Operation etc.) as a producer and/or musician is now also part of Dr. Atomik band. 2. English: Chapter 24 (aka Chapter24), are Claire (vox), Mel (bass) Mark (drums) & Joe (guitar) - a London, UK based quartet. They are becoming renowned for explosive & eccentric live performances (NME & Artrocker have published glowing live reviews). Chapter 24 are a mix of garage rock, psych pop, acid rock, surf rock & grunge.
