Cherry Head, Cherry Heart are a Teesside based pop-group, formed in 2011. Currently stripped down to a trio of the core members; Andy Johnson, Naomi Lowe and Andrew McIntyre, they are writing original material and recording demos whilst also taking some tentative steps live and figuring out who and what they are. Primary influence, upon starting, was The Beautiful South as all three are members of the highly-acclaimed tribute, The Southmartins. Other influences range from Ray Charles, Rhianna, Herb Alpert, The Clash, The Divine Comedy, John Shuttleworth and a whole host of classic rock, pop and whatever. Their songs wrap often critical or less than positive lyrics in strong melodies and easy-on-the-ear arrangements. A sugar coated pill, as it were.
