CRIPPLED ROOK - skankable ska riddims, trashy choruses and musical interplay, Sort of like the Zutons/early Talking Heads with an injection of skanking. Well, it's very raw and as unkempt as their shaggy hair, but there's some spirit here and something pretty good about the rough hewn vocals. Veer fitfully into Cod Scally blues, There grow on you like a lovely rash.
