CYTOTA was formed on October 31st, 2009 when Joby Fitzgerald and Harry Jennings met at a Fightstar gig in Shepherds Bush, London. Shortly after meeting, it didn’t take them long to figure out they had the right skills to form a band in which would show people how much music means to them. A little after two weeks later, Youssef, Harry and Joby met at the Madhouse rehearsal studios in Birmingham, and straight away began to write new material. November saw the addition of Ollie Pike to the band on bass and the band was complete. In April 2010 'Cytota' started recording their first EP 'The prosecutor' with two of the UK's top break through rock producers James Pinder and Carl Bown (Trivium, Rise To Remain, Fightstar, Machinehead) in Tree-house studios in Chesterfield. This enabled the band to get their songs out to people across Facebook and the world. Heading into 2011 'Cytota' have supported the likes of 'Funeral For A Friend' 'While She Sleeps' and 'Rise To Remain', proving their ability to kick off a show with a bang even at the tender age of just 16.
