Dan James is an independent singer and songwriter. He produces his own CDs under his own label Heavy Thinker Records. He split from his old indie rock band and started writing own songs in January 2006. His music is centered around an acoustic guitar and his voice. He describes himself as sounding like Johnny Cash, Ryan Adams, Damien Rice and David Gray. Musical influence were John Lennon, Charles Bukowski, Ryan Adams, Bill Hicks, Bob Dylan, H.P. Lovecraft, Soundtracks, Third Eye Blind, Clive Barker, Joni Mitchell, Neil & Tim Finn, Pablo Neruda, Stevie Nicks, Salvador Dali and many others.
