Dancing Years are a five-piece band based in Leeds who present a refreshing sense of honesty. Songs soar across an orchestral array of instruments or drop to creep along attentive listening ears; fair comparisons are made to Damien Rice's attention to lyrical and harmonic detail as much as they are made to Sigur Ros’ dizzying symphonic climaxes. Their live performances have seen the band gather an increasing amount of plaudits as a result of multiple UK headline tours, UK tours supporting Benjamin Francis Leftwich, Dry the River and Jamie N Commons, plus shows supporting the likes of James Vincent McMorrow, Stornoway, Foy Vance and Lone Wolf. Hide & Seek and French label ZRP co-released their debut single 'Here's To My Old Friends' on 7" to wide acclaim in 2013, finding fans and multiple radio plays in Steve Lamacq (6music) and Jen Long (Radio 1). In 2014 the band will embark on their first European tour in support of Australia's Boy & Bear.
