Playing a mixture high-energy pop/punk and glam-influenced rock, the band have influences ranging from Green Day to Van Halen with a bit of The Darkness thrown in for good measure. Formed by vocalist Matti Fantasi in early 2013, the top musicians from local bands were recruited to make his vision a reality: Brady Deeprose and Sam Thorne. After a few jams, it was clear this was a step up from what they had been doing before and they wasted no-time in seeking out James Bourne. (No, not the guy from Busted, this one's from Rugby.) Armed with a batch of new tracks, the band hit the rehearsal space for months to get as tight as possible before heading out on the road. Focusing on live presence and stage show, it wasn't long before they were out amazing audiences all over the UK. 2014 sees them performing at 7 smaller UK festivals including Glastongudget and the main stage at Properstock. They have also been personally selected to open for Andrew WK at his Coventry Kasbah show. Dead Frequency have had the pleasure of sharing the stage with Me First And The Gimmie Gimmies, [Spunge], Slagerij, Old Man Markley, Evil Scarecrow, Sumo Cyco and many more.
