Inspired by the late 2000s synth-pop revival and influenced by bands such as The Killers, The Bravery, U2 and Zoé, Deco Pilot began to combine their rock influences with atmospheric sounds. The music can be best described as an enticing Pop Rock combining modern electric delayed guitars, ramming bass lines, synths and buoyant vocals. In addition, the London-based quartet attempts to take the audience through an idyllic sonic journey when performing live. Deco Pilot came together after a year of channeling all of their different energies together and is now set to boldly introduce themselves to the world with their new EP. ”This City” is a collection of stories about life in the big city, self-reflecting, soul searching and dreaming of the girl with the diamond heart. The London based quartet first met in Liverpool at the Paul McCartney’s music school before deciding to move the project to the capital where they have recently worked with Director Steve Glashier, who has previously collaborated with Juliette Lewis, Kids in Glass Houses and Fat Boy Slim, on the making of their new video, “You know What I’m Looking For”. The band has successfully toured Mexico and Paris in 2011 and on 2012 they shared stage with The Milk and The Futureheads at the Brownstock Music Festival in Essex. They also have been part of Bath’s international music festival, “Party in the City” where they played at The Pavilion, a historical venue that has hosted The Beatles, Led Zeppelin and Oasis to name a few. They have been involved in the London music scene playing venues such as The Garage Main Stage, Dingwalls, Barfly, and Proud Camden Galleries among others. Deco Pilot released their debut EP “This City” the 11th of February this year through Revolution Harmony, an Independent record label in Canada, and they have been nominated by Bandcamp as one of best new upcoming bands of 2013!
