Demon Smiles are a female fronted melodic punk rock band from Brighton, UK. They play fast skate punk in the style of NOFX and Lagwagon with the powerful vocal style of Tilt, the self-deprecation of The Lawrence Arms and the emotion of Banner Pilot to create a true EpiFat sound.. Demon Smiles were formed in 2012 at a Banner Pilot show. They didn't have a bassist so Cat started playing one 3 hours before their first practice. Three months later Demon Smiles played their first gig, and never stopped gigging. They released their first album 'Burn It To The Ground' in 2013 and followed this up with the HANDCANNON EP in 2014. Along the way Demon Smiles have been honoured to support some of the best punk bands around including Authority Zero, Counterpunch, Morning Glory, Lipstick Homicide, Vice Squad and Local Resident Failure, as well as playing Punk Rock Holiday in Slovenia in both 2013 and 2014 with bands including NOFX, Millencolin, Propaghandi and Reel Big Fish, who got Cat up on stage to sing with them. In January 2015 Demon Smiles went back into the studio to record their new as yet untitled album due for release later this year. Demon Smiles have been featured on the compilations 'Weapons of Construction' and 'Clarion Call' put together by Vermont DIY feminist punk record label Stickshift Recordings, and were featured on Punktastic's 13.02 playlist. Demon Smiles continue to gig extensively and are gaining more and more radio play and exposure. Demon Smiles release their music through 13 Stitches DIY Punk Rock Records, a label run by drummer Steve, bassist Cat and Dan from RxR. The band say 'we play fast, we love Fat Wreck and beer.' www.facebook.com/demonsmilesband www.demonsmiles.bandcamp.com demonsmilesband@gmail.com
