Distral is a finnish punk band which mixes influenses from skatepunk and hardcore. Formed in summertime 2006 in Joensuu, Finland by Samu and Atte. First they decided to call the band Huostaanotetut but it later changed to Distral because off new musical direction and english lyrics. In fall 2006 band made some changes to their line-up. Former drummer Atte started to sing and Juksa joined the band as their new drummer. Wintertime 2007 Atte was kicked out and Samu and Simo took charge off singing. Band first studio-EP Dont get hit by the train was released in January 2007. In March, 07, band took part in bandcompetition called "Rockbirds", with their EP. After all the up- and downhills on the road, band won the competition and got recording deal with Pilfink records, and right now band is working with their first studio-CD, and it's supposed to be out in fall 2007. The first album got the name "Orders overload" and it was released in January 2008, little bit later than planned. Their second EP were recorded at the Cadimef studios, Joensuu. It was released in internet (myspace) in october 2008 and it includes 4 songs which you can find in myspace.
