It was a late autumn evening in year 2006, and as energies flowed, crossed, collided, soughed over the city of Rīga, Latvia, eventually they intersected, forming a beam of light, which struck four people who were at the time together at the studio, as a lightning. Immediately, they felt - we have something to say, we have to play together to make the world understand what it needs to know. That’s how Diversity was formed. The name of the band depicts our music, which we try to diversify, both singing about various topics, and wandering around in various musical styles, borrowing ideas, and returning back like a bee to a hive. The original lineup: Līva Daukste - vocal; Matīss Elsbergs - guitar; Armands Krasnovskis - bass guitar; Māris Ozoliņš - drums. Diversity has always drawed attention with their degree of mastery of musical instruments, a really live performance, and their ability to get people moving.
