There are several artists that go by the name of DJ Raw. 1) Oliver Froning, a German DJ and producer as well as founding member of the happy hardcore band Dune. Under the name DJ Raw he put some tracks on his homepage for free download. 2)Dj Raw is also the first name of Re-Drum. 3)DJ Raw (Ian Seumanu) is a New Zealand hip hop pioneer making his name in the DJ battle scene for a decade and gaining respect as a world-class turntablist who has been consistently placed in the top ten of both the DMC and ITF World Finals. He is the only New Zealander ever to be crowned ITF Australasian DJ Champion and has provided the backbone to some of New Zealand’s most influential groups and artists, such as Gifted and Brown, Overstayers, Footsouljahs, King Kapisi and Flowz. Performing in groups or solo, Raw has played support to some of the industry biggest name like Snoop Dogg, Busta Rhymes, Black Eyed Peas, The Roots, Cypress Hill, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, the Beastie Boys, Bone Thugs N Harmony, and De La Soul. Now retired from competition, Raw continues a busy show schedule and teaches DJing fulltime at New Zealand’s only NZQA approved DJ School. He is also focused on production, having produced three albums for Footsouljahs and Flowz.
