Real Synthetic Audio (RSA) is a Toronto, Canada based weekly internet based radio show hosted by Todd Clayton, a.k.a. DJ Todd, focusing on electronic genres of music. Specifically synthpop, EBM, industrial, and a smattering of techno styles and goth. First broadcast on January 31st 1998, RSA is the longest running shorter length radio program on the web. Initially running 30 minutes, the format was expanded to 45 minutes on March 13th 2000. RSA is a commercial free show which is available streamed or downloadable in MP3, Real Media, or Windows Media. As of June 2005 it's also available as an podcast or an iTunes subscription. What has differentiated RSA from the plethora of other shows has been its consistency and format. The show is posted every Monday generally 50 weeks a year, and has been since its inception. It's formatted like a proper radio show as opposed to a collection of songs played with no breaks or attempts at mixing. Todd has also had good natured mocking directed his way for his abuse of the word "anyways" and general butchering of the German language.
