Drunken Balordi have been storming the music scene for the last 2 years playing to crowds all over Europe and USA. Their debut gig at the famous 100 Club in London was a fitting gig for a band with such strong punk roots, attitude and energy. With their eclectic roots from Italy/South Africa/Ireland/New Zealand they play a crazy high energy gypsy punk and completely work the crowds into a party frenzy.
Driving their fusion sound of World Punk, Balkan, Klezmer and Folk tunes which sight The Clash and Negresses Verts as a big influence they have quickly gone on to support Stiff Little Fingers, The Levellers, The Blockheads, Spear of Destiny, Alabama3, Kultur Shock, Pama International, The Popes and Shane MacGowan, System7, playing Stummerville Campfire stage Glastonbury 2010.
Drunken Balordi are a band with a fast growing following of rowdy fans through out the world as can be seen at any of their shows, and are definitely one of the few bands who never fail to deliver a great show every time, in any venue however big or small. They are party Kings and will have you dancing or pogo-ing whether you like it or not.
Drunken Balordi sing about drinking, erotic pleasure, temptation, vulgarity and everyday life on the streets of London. They make gypsy music with balls influenced by Celtic, Klezmer, Ska, Balkan etc. all mixed up with a big dose of punk attitude. If you like to laugh, sing, throw your beer around and get hysterical then Drunken Balordi are what you need. Guaranteed to put a fire under the ass of any party …OPA!!!

With an eclectic line-up drawn from Italy/South Africa/Ireland/UK, London based Drunken Balordi have perfected a high energy fusion sound that draws influence from World Punk, Balkan, Klesmir and Folk and mixes it with the soul, passion and out-right punk spirit that defines bands like The Clash, The Sex Pistols and Fugazi. Making their live debut at the 100 Club on Oxford Street (a fitting gig for a band with such strong punk roots, attitude and energy) just under 2 years ago, they wasted no time at all in following this up by playing to crowds all over the UK, Europe and USA, supporting the likes of Stiff Little Fingers, The Levellers (main support at Vikadel Fest Norway), The Blockheads, The Wombats, Spear of Destiny, Neville Staples band, Alabama3, Kultur Shock, Pama International, The Stranglers, Scratch Perverts, Anti Nowhere League and The Popes and Shane MacGowan along the way!
This summer alone saw them perform at Glastonbury, Bestival, Rebellion, Stummercamp, Bomfest, Wheyfest, Rock En Stock Festival (France) Feile Festival(Ireland) and Edenfest (Scotland), having to turn down many others for purely logistical reasons – Drunken Balordi are a band in international demand!

On Monday November 22nd 2010, Drunken Balordi will be releasing their eagerly anticipated self-titled debut album on Filthy Dog Records (distributed by Nova), with the lead single ‘Filthy Dog’ preceding this on November 1st. It’s an album full of passionate stories and bleary eyed tales – anthems for a weekend fuelled by booze, romance, philosophy and hedonism. Drunken Balordi have encapsulated perfectly the multi-cultural spirit that runs through the very veins of their gypsy punk fabric, delivering a genuinely fantastic debut album that will undoubtedly justify their hype and announce their arrival into the mainstream glare.
