Duncan Chisholm is an acclaimed fiddler from Kirkhill, Scotland. Best known as a founding member of Wolfstone, he has also toured the world extensively with a series of acts including, previously, Blazin' Fiddles and Session A9, and currently as part of the Julie Fowlis band. Duncan's musical roots can be realised in the tutelage he received from Donald Riddell, and is now regarded a first-class exponent of the Highland fiddle tradition. Duncan has released five albums of his own, all of which display his ever-deepening understanding of the tradition and his own style of playing, as well as his own personal influences. The first of these was Redpoint, followed by The Door of Saints, Farrar (which won the MG Scots Alba Album of the Year 2007), Canaich, and most recently, Affric.
