There are at least four artists sharing the name "Elsewhere": 1. Elsewhere was a Brisbane based band active in the early 2000s, fronted by Australia popstar Kate Miller-Heidke. 2. elseWhere have been actively involved in the Melbourne & Rural music scenes for over four years, delivering with no conscious reason what has been called 'a unique and eclectic blend of jazzy vibes and funky grooves combined with the ethics of rock 'n roll'. Despite outside labelling and categorisation, the odyssey continues to push the envelope further. The band has extensive live experience, and are gradually building a steady fan base, partly due to some notable past gigs including Outta Limits, at which the band performed alongside Area 7 and Behind Crimson Eyes, and were given the opportunity to record the follow up single to their debut EP. (Still available through the band). Pushover 2007 in which the band played in the Battle of the Bands grand final after winning several rounds in the Gippsland competition, sharing the bill with the likes of Silverchair, Karnivool and Something For Kate. The Muso Networks Battle of the Bands grand final under similar circumstances, The Scouts 100th Birthday Celebration, Raw Vibes, The Bruthen Blues Festival, Countless pub & club shows etc. 2009... The band are coming to the end of a string of successful live shows pushing new and old elseWhere tunes plus material from Mark's third studio effort GRID METHOD. At present, the band is taking a more selective approach to gigs in order to keep the focus on writing and recording their forthcoming & 2nd E.P due out mid year. 3. Manchester-based producer, associated with PYC and Mindset Records. 4. Boston based group formed in the late 1990s with a sporadic recording history.
