So, had these guys been born in the sixties they would have been tearing up the stage whilst sporting Mohicans and T-shirts bearing anarchy signs. Instead recently formed Everything but Arms are quietly creating a storm in the cities of South Hampshire with their pop-punk style, preferring the unassuming appearance of the ‘boy next door’ to the headbanging, anti-establishment vibe of the punk rockers of old. Everything but Arms are a four-piece band featuring Craig on drums, Callum on the keyboard, Darrell on lead guitar, with Will on bass and vocals. Their influences range from Muse and Blink 182 to the chocolaty tones of Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles. This diverse fusion of styles produces an interesting sound – and boy does it work. Just listen to their latest offering My Dad’s a Superspy, and you’ll know what I’m getting at. Look out for these nutty boys at eclectic live music venues such as Talking Heads and Tiger Tiger where they not only headline, but have been spotted opening for other great bands like A Stranger in Moscow, Summerlin and Lost in Colour. This band are really going places, make sure you go along for the ride.
