There is more than one band with the name Final Conflict (in order of date of formation): 1) Final Conflict is a California anarchist street punk/hardcore punk band that formed in 1983. They are a political band, with lyrics dealing with anti-war, anti-rightwing politics, animal rights, women's rights etc. 2) There was also a midwestern hardcore band named Final Conflict around the same time as the Californian band. The Minneapolis based band released their lone EP in 1983 and was featured on the Lung Cookies compilation. The EP was titled " In the Family". They were infamous at the time for playing the final show at Goofy's, a local hardcore hangout in Mpls., which ended up in a riot.; as written up in the "City Pages" weekly in Sept. of 1983. Noel Morgan was the vocalist, Joe Morgan played guitar, Paul Roberts (Skid-O) played bass and the drummer whose last name I forget was Chris. 3) Final Conflict is a UK prog-rock band formed in 1985 who have released many original albums over their 22 year history: Redress the Balance, Quest, Stand Up, Hindsight (2003) and the latest album "Simple" (2006).
