Fired Up started after the demise of a handful of CT Hardcore bands (Forthright, Not a Chance, Your Mistake, Late Night Revenge), when Fred and Mike decided to do a band in the fast hardcore style of the early 80's. Dean was recruited on Vocals, and Chip was told to learn to play bass. Recording a demo in 2005 with Will at Dead Air, we sparked the interest of doing a follow-up 7" with Sean and Youngblood Records. 2007 saw the release of "When the Lights Go Out" on Youngblood, followed by a US tour with Justice and a European tour with True Colors. After recruiting JR for bass duties before the European tour, while Chip was rocking with Tombstone Minds, we have since added Jeff on bass now full time. The 2009 Release of "Doomed to Repeat" on Youngblood Records will be out Oct 13. The 7 song 7" will be the last record that we will be releasing. Mike is relocating to San Fran, Dean has had some new additions to his family, Jeff is off to SoCal, and Fred is being Fred (which is way cooler than it sounds). Thank you to EVERYONE who had any part in helping us over the past 4 years. We are eternally grateful! Also, Before the CT band, Fired Up was used for a project band that members of Rain On The Parade and The Purpose did (released as the "Fired Up Demo") after ROTP broke up for the first time 11-98 (final show w/ Underdog). They didn't play any shows as Fired Up, so when ROTP got back together the next summer they merged those songs into the new lineup.
