Fist of The First Man is the new side project by music producer, film scorer and all round grafter Zwolf. Alongside his band of brothers Mark, John and Alun, Zwolf's Fist of the First Man released their self-titled debut in late 2012, instantly making them an act to take heed of. Not only is the music brilliantly arranged, but it's dripping in atmosphere. A cinematic tour de force – FOTFM are the living, breathing soundtrack to the ultimate indie grindhouse move. Scuzzy buzz saw guitar melodies, ridiculously infectious grooves and a bass sound you could beat a man to death with. The album is littered with tracks that could dexterously fit on the Drive soundtrack, Streets of Rage or during tense moments on Masterchef.
