Known for his deep, brooding vocals, unusual lyrics and finger-style guitar; Floorboy writes introspective songs that deal with the emotions, addictions and insecurities of a small town boy who is reluctantly becoming a man. 2012 saw the release of the "Private Hell" EP, which brought attention from promoters and record labels from as far away as Sweden. Recording of the "Yellow Roses" EP began in the summer, with the song "River's End" being featured on BBC6 Music, Future Radio and LT4Records summer mixtape. Influences include Bright Eyes, The National, Willy Mason, Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, Laura Marling, The Tallest Man on Earth, John Butler, Johnny Cash...to name but a few.
