Formed in March 2007 Foghorn Leghorn was the brain child of Jerome Twigg (trombone) and Sam Tapner (trumpet), but there was something missing (the rest of the band)! James Haigh (18) was minding his own business when he stumbled across a wanted add for a ska drummer. Cautious of weather it might be a sexual trap, but okay if it was, he went to the auditioned and rocked the fuck out, and needless to say he is now a permanent fixture behind the pig skins. With the addition of Nick, the Loco Argentine from the sunshine coast, the group was starting to write music, but the bass player who Jerome and Sam had found just never showed up. After about three weeks James had a bright spark, "my best mates plays bass, he's fuckin wicked too"! His late revelations were greeted with scorn but none the less Zach white was auditioned and became the band's bass god! The bands first gig, at a little place called 'Shed 5', was going to be the start of the long road to success, and some how we managed to find another member, Sammy the sax. Why not we all thought, so she joined the band. And we all rejoiced, coz who doesn't like a tenor sax in a ska band. Then however tragedy struck, Nick made the decision to leave the band. The remaining members were sad and vulnerable but they picked themselves back up and started the grueling search for a new guitarist. After weeks of no good players, and no good personalities a savior was found. With a head of bouncy shoulder length hair Shane was the answer. The band is now complete and is already making waves on the scene. Just remember there are only two types of people in this world, people who have been skanked and people who will be skanked! FHLH
