Francesca Beard was born in Kuala Lumpar and grew up in Penang. She now lives in London and is a performance poet and lyricist. She has toured for the British Council in Azerbaijan, Bulgaria and Colombia and works extensively as a workshop leader, particularly in schools.
She is currently touring her one-woman show, Chinese Whispers, in conjunction with Apples and Snakes and Jericho Productions, and her work has been published in various magazines and anthologies, with a self-published collection, Cheap, in its fifth imprint.
