Freak Power were a band founded by Norman Cook (a.k.a. Fatboy Slim) and Ashley Slater. Their music was a mix of acid jazz with funk and soul, as well as trip-hop. The band released two albums: "Drive Thru Booty" in 1995 and "More Of Everything For Everybody" in 1996. The debut album features the hit single "Turn On, Tune In, Cop Out". "Song #6" from the band's follow-up album was featured in the critically-acclaimed 2004 movie Code 46. The band broke-up after exhausting touring and Norman Cook thought he'd make a go of his little side project Fatboy Slim. Some of the tracks for the rumoured follow-up to "More of Every..." were re-worked for the first album from the solo project "Ashley Slater's Big Lounge".
