Futur Primitif is the new project from songwriter and singer Daniel Lefkowitz, former member of American indie-folk gentry The Low Anthem. His self-released debut album Wilder Shores Of Love came out in late 2011. Daniel (voice/guitar) is joined in Futur Primitif by Jared Elmore on synths, drum machine and general a big mess of cables. Their second album Machineteeth was recorded live with a full band comprised of members of The Low Anthem and is out now across Europe on Integrity Records (via mailorder and iTunes, Amazon, etc). Futur Primitif’s first single to be taken from the album was Nuclear Shockwave (INT 037), out on 21st January 2013, which was supported by Steve Lamacq (6 Music) and John Kennedy (XFM). The new album Machineteeth came out on download and CD on 25th March. Second single Digital Space comes out on 6th May 2013. Futur Primitif is currently an electric duo, incorporating elements of Velvet Underground era rock, sparse folk, and a fearless approach to the wall of sound. Having performed to rapt audiences from London to Los Angeles, 2011 brought the band to the Bowery Ballroom in NYC, the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco, and the main stage of the End of the Road Festival in Dorset. www.facebook.com/futurprimitif
