Gandalf Murphy And The Slambovian Circus Of Dreams
Born on Halloween in Sleepy Hollow NY, in the late 90's. Includes touches of everything from Floydian psychedelia to blues to Beatles-esque pop; inspired by The Who, Waterboys, Bob Dylan, The Byrds, and Pink Floyd. Rightly voted 'Best Band' three consecutive years by Hudson Valley Magazine where they reside, The Slambovian Circus of Dreams (AKA The Grand Slambovians) are equal parts Washington Irving and Woodstock, Zappa, the Who, The Beatles, The Band, and their fiercely independent selves, presenting not only quirky Americana and Zen-like anthems, but a universe entirely of their own making. The Slambovian Circus of Dreams are widely hailed for their electrifying performances, inspiring their devoted and expanding Slambovian citizenry with a down-to-earth, we’re-all-in-it-together vibe, and music that soars into the higher regions of our human-ness. Or, as All Music Guide prefers to say “they are simply one of the finest American bands out there . . .” The band consists of Joziah Longo (lead vocals, guitars, harmonica); his wife, Tink Lloyd (accordion, cello, ukelele, flute, theremin); Sharkey McEwen (guitars, mandolin, backing vocals); and Tony Zuzulo/Eric Puente (drums).
