Here's the basics: Im Irish but I live in London. I'm a writer, a DJ and a burgeoning maker of techno. Ive been working for Mixmag for nearly seven years (club listings ed, news ed, music ed and now features/Big Tunes ed). My first track Machine Ate My Homework was released on Mood Music in 2006 and was supported by a wide range of people including Laurent Garnier, Luciano, DJ Hell, Tiefschwarz, MYLO, Ewan Peason, Paul Oakenfold, Danny Howells and James Lavelle. The follow up 'So That's What Happens' was released Moodmusic in December and is a collaboration with fellow Mixmag scribe Craig Torrance. Next up from me is a remix(my first ever!) for F-Comm star Alex Kid's new label and i'll be drip feeding through a host of new original tracks over the coming months so keep an eye on this page if you like my music. As a journalist I've written for broadsheets like the Irish Independent and the Scotsman. I started my career as an intern at CNN in Atlanta. Before that I played in a heap of garage bands (I got thrown out of my first ever gig mid set for stagediving with a guitar..it wasn't a career with a future put it that way) before switching to the dark side. Ive been DJing professionally for three years. Along the way I've played clubs like The End, Turnmills, Ministry of Sound, Dirty Disco in Leeds and in places like Ireland, Ibiza, Miami, The Ukraine, Poland and Brazil. At home i'm currently hammering Soprano's, Heroes and Extras (its all about bit torrents and boxsets..who needs TV!) . If you'd like to hear my mixes check the links in the left hand column on this page or my blogs. If you'd like to book me, I'm managed by Air London (david@airlondon.org.u), my favourite 'everything' changes daily and if HBO could get off their arses and make a third season of Carnivale it would be much appreciated.
