Gene Hunt is one of the early pioneers when it comes to Chicago house music. He has been a producer and DJ since the 1980s, playing at legendary venues such as The Warehouse, The Music Box, Medusas and The Playground to name a few. His first record was an EP called Living In A Land, today regarded as a classic. It was released in 1989 on Housetime Records, a sister label of the seminal Trax Records. Since then he has put out tracks on many respected house labels. Hunt has worked with Robert Owens, acid king DJ Pierre’s Phuture and the late Music Box DJ Ron Hardy.
